Hooman Nikzad, Managing Partner
Hooman Nikzad joined National PEO with a wealth of management experience. Mr. Nikzad began his career in the textile industry. In 1989 he co-founded Pro Pay, Inc. with Arnold Diamond.
After selling Pro Pay, Inc. to Employee Solutions, Inc. in 1993, Mr. Nikzad, along with Todd Belfer, founded M.D. Labs, a premier manufacturer and marketer of health related products. Mr. Nikzad sold his interest in M.D. Labs and joined Mr. Diamond on a full time basis co-managing National PEO in February 2002.
Kevin S. Steele, Chief Operating Officer
Kevin Steele joined National PEO in September 2006 as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Steele has a strong leadership background and has most recently served as Vice President of Finance for Catalytica Energy Systems, Inc. in Gilbert, Arizona. Mr. Steele has also served as Chief Operating Officer of M.D. Labs, Inc., Vice President of UDC Homes, Inc., V.P. and Controller for Pinnacle West Capital Corp. and as Senior Manager with Arthur Andersen & Co., in addition to owning his own company. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Kevin Davis, Director of Information Technology
Mr. Davis joined National PEO in 2001 as a Payroll Specialist and rose through the ranks to become Director of Information Technology. Mr. Davis has a solid background in information technology and holds degrees in Business Administration and Management, as well as Management Information Systems (MIS) from Dakota State University. Mr. Davis is also a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).Prior to joining National PEO, Mr. Davis played an instrumental role in a South Dakota based start-up company overseeing marketing, sales and IT. He also worked in the risk management department of First Premier Bank’s credit card division in South Dakota. His ability to multi-task proved crucial to his success at National PEO.
In his current position, Mr. Davis is responsible for keeping the company’s technological needs aligned with the scope of the company’s mission and on target with its services. He is focused on increasing overall productivity by implementing effective technologies and developing our growing IT department. In addition to overseeing internal technologies at National PEO’s Scottsdale headquarters, Mr. Davis manages National PEO’s web related services.
Martin Fekete, Vice President, Risk Management
Martin Fekete, DHSc., MBA., CSP. SPHR. recently joined National PEO in 2013 and brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience in human resources and risk management. Martin is nationally certified in both safety and human resources as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He recently served with Amazon.com senior management in the Phoenix area. Prior to joining Amazon he was Sr. Consultant at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station and former President and founder of Phase One Environmental Consultants. He has over twenty eight years’ experience with Fortune 500 companies ranging from Motorola, Roger’s Corporation, AMD and McDonnell Douglas Aerospace.
Mr. Fekete holds a Doctorate in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University and the Arizona School of Health Sciences, a Master’s in Business Management Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Health Sciences. Dr. Fekete is a member of the American College of Epidemiology, Society of Human Resource Management and is a Board Certified Safety Professional. Dr. Fekete has numerous certifications and experience in employment law, Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, environmental health & safety law, occupational health, policy development, worker’s compensation, organizational leadership, public and employee relations. Dr. Fekete sits on numerous charitable boards and has previously been involved with such valley charities as Prostate On-Site Project, Every Kids Counts Charities and United Food Bank.
Steven J. Diamond, Vice President
In 1997, Steven J. Diamond began his PEO career at Employee Solutions, Inc. Two years later, he joined National PEO as Director of Payroll Operations. In 2002, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Diamond saw an opportunity to grow further into the PEO industry through workers compensation, and in 2006, created a workers compensation department complete with OSHA certification and safety compliance procedures.Mr. Diamond extends over ten years of experience, a strong background in business management and client relations; which allows him to oversee many of the day-to-day operations at National PEO. He was also resposible for implementing new software and products to the company to increase efficiency. Mr. Diamond is certified in many safety courses, including OSHA, and is a licensed P&C broker for a variety of insurance products.
